The Bachelor of Clinical Science (BClinSci) degree is a unique course that's been carefully developed in direct consultation with the healthcare industry. It's a partnership that allows a fresh approach to your training and the development of a new generation of clinical research scientists, committed to translating research benefits into real improvements in patient health.

Clinical science

Our course provides diverse and stimulating learning opportunities for students to explore many key aspects of clinical research, including:

  • Underpinning core biomedical and biomolecular science principles
  • How current and emerging new medical technologies can be applied and developed to diagnose and advance disease treatments
  • Practical basic science and clinical research skill development
  • Professional communication, leadership and problem-solving skill development

This degree is taught jointly by the Peninsula Medical School and the University of Exeter’s School of Biosciences.
