PCMD National Bursary Scheme

At PCMD we operate a national bursary scheme that's open to all students applying to PCMD from anywhere in the UK. Eligibility for national bursaries is based on the household income means test that the assessing body conducts when you apply for funding.

 

2012 Entry Only

The following Bursary scheme and Partial Fee Waivers apply to new entrants commencing their medical or dental training in September 2012 only.

The bursary scheme will be available to students for each year of study.

Partial Fee Waivers

In addition to this College Busary Scheme, PCMD will also be implementing Partial Fee Waivers in 2012.

Undergraduate students with assessed household incomes of less than £25,000 and who are entering Higher Education for the first time will receive a partial fee waiver for each year of undergraduate study as follows:

2009/10, 2010/11 & 2011/12 entrants only

All students coming from households with income levels assessed to be below £35,000 are guaranteed some financial help in the form of a national bursary. The value of each bursary ranges from £750 to £1,500 per year, with the highest-level bursaries going to those students from the lowest household income bracket. Under PCMD's national bursary scheme, the value of bursaries relates to household income as follows:

Please note that all bursary awards are subject to change on a yearly basis depending on inflation patterns and budgetary restrictions. Eligible courses include BM,BS only.
