Intercalated degrees

Students have the opportunity to explore another discipline at degree level. Peninsula students can take advantage of both the University of Exeter and the Plymouth University degree programs. Students will join the final year of an existing degree programme.

Up to 15% of any student year group will be offered the chance to take an intercalated degree. These offers are made to the higher performing students.

Intercalated Degrees require an extra year of study however the experience gained can make a difference in the long term.

Peninsula students have intercalated in:

The Plymouth University's Emergency Care team also uses its expertise to provide unique training opportunities for medical students.

The Faculty of Health, Education and Society has worked with the Peninsula College of Medicine & Dentistry and the local emergency department/consultants to set up a unique opportunity to experience an academic year working in and learning about the area of emergency care and gain a BSc (Hons) Emergency Care at the same time as working towards your medical degree; the only such opportunity currently offered in the UK.
