DeNDRoN

DeNDRoN is part of the UK Clinical Research Network (UKCRN). It facilitates the conduct of randomised prospective trials and other well designed studies of the dementias and neurodegenerative diseases, including those for prevention, diagnosis and treatment.

DeNDRoN is a UK-wide initiative to promote collaboration between people affected by these diseases, academics, clinicians, NHS Trusts, researchers and funders. It coordinates focused effective investment in NHS research infrastructure.

DeNDRoN aims to improve the speed, quality and integration of research in dementias, Parkinson’s disease, Motor Neurone Disease, Huntington’s disease resulting in improvement in prevention, diagnosis and access to the best care and treatment for patients.

DeNDRoN in the South West

South West DeNDRoN is  the Local Research Network, hosted by Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership Trust, is led by geriatrician Professor Roy Jones in Bath, and by neurologist Professor John Zajicek in Plymouth. It extends across Cornwall and through Devon, Somerset, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire.
